"Give to Sally."
Lovely, small archive related to James R. Weaver, Company B, 11th Tennessee Infantry. Weaver, who was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, before moving across the border to Tennessee, enlisted soon after Confederate guns fired on Fort Sumter. He went on to compile a remarkable battle record, participating in Zollicoffer's Kentucky Raid, Murfreesboro, Walden's Ridge, Cumberland Gap, Chickamauga, Chattanogga, Kennesaw Mountain, Peachtree Creek, Franklin, Nashville, and Bentonville. He was wounded twice during his service: first at Chickamauga and later at Bentonville. Weaver survived it all and surrendered on 26 April 1865 in North Carolina, swearing an Oath of Allegiance on 1 May 1865.
