An advertising poster featuring a half-length portrait of a German Wehrmacht sergeant. The artist predictably depicts an "Aryan face" with blue eyes and a strong jaw. He wears a helmet with insignia and an Iron Cross pinned to his breast. After the invasion of the Soviet Union, the Wehrmacht was in particular need of NCOs.
