[WORLD WAR II] Webley & Scott Mark IV Revolver

.38/200. 5" barrel length. SN: 112503. Roughly machined war finish to metal parts mounting Webley branded checkered black synthetic grips, lanyard loop to butt, and half moon front blade sights. Double action six-shot top break revolver with automatic ejection. Topstrap is marked WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD on the top and MARK IV .38 on the left. Frame struck WAR FINISH to left side. Further marks include the martial {Crown/GR/Crossed Swords/P} to left barrel, and {Broad Arrow} to right frame above a further martial inspection stamp. Item displays post war pressure proof to right barrel with further proofs  between all chambers. Serial number of cylinder does not match frame, but the barrel does. {C&R}

Good to Very Good. Bore is dirty with firing residues, particularly to chamber that may clean to Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish thinning at the muzzle with some scratches and edgewear. Revolver further shows some brown flecking on cylinder, triggerguard, gripstraps, and on the lower frame. Brown patina forming on handling surfaces. Grips exhibit handling wear, dents, and scratches. Action with good timing and substantial wiggle to lockup.
