9mm Para. 4.9" barrel. SN: 876l. Blued metal arsenal refinish overall mounting horizontally serrated black Bakelite grips and standard military pattern sights. Short recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Left slide struck with the standard P.38 model mark with manufacturer code ac 44, indicating it was made by Walther in 1944. Left triggerguard with defaced East German {Shield in Sunburst} Police mark, but an intact example overlapping the WWII view mark on the right slide, and on left side of locking block. WWII {Eagle/359} waffenamt stamps in two places on right slide, once on left frame, and once on the locking block. Barrel likely a post-war replacement with {Crown/N} proof marking and a serial number matching the frame. Serial numbers match on frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. Blued magazine marked P.38v, and has a force matched serial number on floorplate. {C&R}

Very Good as arsenal refinished. Bore is Very Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish with brown flecking and some roughness on upper slide. Scattered light scratches with a very strong reblue overall. Grips have some handling, scratches, and a small chip to the lower edge of the left panel. Grease throughout internals. Mechanically functional when cycled by hand.
