A World War II propaganda poster titled 'We are Ready What About You? Join the Schools at War Program.' Designed by Irving Nurick (1894 - 1963), published by U.S. Government Printing Office, and sponsored by the War-Savings Staff of the U.S. Irving Nurick. Featuring three young teens carrying war ration stamps, equipment, and clothing reminiscent of the U.S. Military. Each teen looks joyful as they are participating in war efforts through the advertised “Schools at War” program.
Irving Nurick studied at the National Academy of Design in New York City and further developed his style throughout Europe through painting cityscapes of Paris, London, and Rome. His engaging style, specializing in teens and young adults, found him success in advertising with companies such as Kotex, Wesson Oil, and Ivory Soap, as well as contributions to popular magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post, The Ladies Home Journal, and The Pictorial Review.
