A Virginia indenture for the sale of a young enslaved teenager named Clayborn. The bill of sale was between Spencer James (1812 - 1869) and William Bourn, both of Wythe County, Virginia. James paid $450 to Bourn for "a certain Negro boy named Clayborn about fourteen years of age."
