Autograph document signed by Matthew McCrary, as Administrator. [Laurens, South Carolina],  16 November 1835. 1 page, approx. 7 3/4 x 5 in. 

 

A brief inventory of "the second sale bill of the property of Josiah Prather" that lists the sale of "one Negro woman and two children sold to Alfred Kerns" for $1,220. 

 

Josiah Prather died in 1822 and his estate was administered by Matthew McCrary. There were several other enslaved individuals as a part of his estate.
