A conveyance in trust in which Charles West and his wife sold to Elisha Butler a group of seven named enslaved individuals: Bob, Ben, Seaboy, Bacchus, Scipio, Tena, and Flora. Additionally, 110 black cattle and 20 head of horse were included in the transaction. 

 

An early colonial document recording 7 named slaves.
