A fine trio of traditional Moroccan Amazigh (Berber) silver adornments, comprising an apotropaic Khamsa (Hand of Fatima) pendant with raised lizard or salamander at center, worn to protect wearers from the evil eye, unmarked; an engraved Faqrun belt buckle, featuring Khamsa motifs with central rosette, unmarked; and an elaborate hair braid ring, unmarked. DIMENSIONS of largest gross weight in dwt.

The ring features pierced openwork with hollow tread, suggestive of rational polychrome enamel felling, a decorative technique brought to North Africa by Moorish silversmiths fleeing Spain. Hair ring ornaments were attached to the opulent, structured headdresses worn by Amazigh women for ceremonial occasions and served as indicators of social status and regional identity. Together, these pieces represent the rich silversmithing heritage and talismanic traditions of early 20th century Morocco.
