C. W. Carter (1832–1918) was an English-born photographer who became one of the prominent early photographers of the American West. After settling in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1864, he established his own photography studio in 1867. Very good condition overall. The albumen prints retain strong contrast and fine definition, displaying only minor age-appropriate edge fading. The card mounts remain structurally flat and solid with honest margin rubbing and light corner wear.
