A German print showing Hitler speaking at a mass rally from around the time of his presidential candidacy in the election of 1932 and his appointment as Chancellor of Germany in 1933. Hitler speaks with characteristic enthusiasm surrounded by Nazi insignia and propaganda banners reading (in translation): "Adolf Hitler Shows You the Way" and "Adolf Hitler Gives You Work and Bread!" He is flanked on all sides by the SA Brownshirts, several of whom carry off dissenters. 

The verso depicts a German street scene showing the effects of hyperinflation from the economic crisis of 1922-1923 during the Weimar Republic. Cash lost so much of its value that citizens were forced to pay for everyday objects with suitcases or baskets full of banknotes.
