Cheyenne beaded hide wedding dress. 1890s. Milk paint. Sinew sewn, plaiting in quill work. Fawn dew claws. All fringe is quill wrapped.

 

WITH Oklahoma Free State Fair "First Premium" ribbon. Muskogee, Oklahoma, 1930. 

 

Made for one-time use, handed down through family, and most likely worn by a grandchild many years later, where the ribbon was awarded in 1930. Folded for ages.
