A grouping of two items pertaining to the 1864 presidential election, of which resulted in the second term of Abraham Lincoln: 

 

1.) "To Every Patriot Irrespective of Party" election handbill printed letter written by William Elliot, president of the National Union City Executive Committee. November, 1864. 1 page, 8vo. 

 

An impassioned letter urging its readers to support Lincoln and teh Republican party, citing that "This is the state of things under the administration of PRESIDENT LINCOLN. His wise measures, supported by the patriots whom he has called to his assistance, have confined the misery and devestation of Terrible War, to the GUILTY SOUTH, and maintained prosperity and plenty, for the LOYAL NORTH." In speaking on the strength of the Union, the letter reminds its addresees when polls are open, and once again implores them to vote for the continuence of the Lincoln presidency. 

 

2.) 16 pieces of sheet music related to the Union army and the election of 1864, including:
