Framed relics from President Abraham Lincoln, handsomely matted and framed to 22 ¼ x 18 in. With a portrait, facsimile signature, and informational placard. Items include:
1. Approx. 6 strands of Abraham Lincoln's hair. Approx. length 1/2 in. Tied with an approx. 2 in. red thread from Lincoln’s funeral train flag over an image of a black hair bundle.
2. Fragment from Lincoln’s Funeral Train flag. Approx. 1/2 in. wide.
This collection of framed relics consists of strands of Abraham Lincoln’s hair, along with a piece of the flag that hung from his funeral train. The funeral train traveled from Washington, D.C., to Springfield, Illinois, in the spring of 1865 following Lincoln’s assassination.
