Jewish Achievements in Palestine. London: Jewish Agency for Palestine, 1930.

8vo. 16 in-text photographic illustrations. Original blue cardstock wrappers, staple-bound as issued. FIRST EDITION.

An early Zionist publication by the Jewish Agency for Palestine intended to encourage Jewish immigration. Photographic illustrations show a harvest in Judea a chocolate factory, and oil works in Haifa. The work states,  "Economically, the land was as barren as a chapel floor until the Jews made their appearance...the modern spirit in Palestine is entirely Zionist." (p. 5)

The Jewish Agency for Palestine (now the Jewish Agency for Israel), was founded in 1929 as the operative branch of the World Zionist Organization (WZO), encouraging Jews of the diaspora to emigrate to Palestine.

[Pamphlets, Ephemera, Judaica, Zionism, Jewish History]
