A beautiful commemorative yahrzeit memorial calendar used by Jews for the annual commemoration of the dead. The center cartouche was intended to receive the name of the deceased. On either side, a man and a woman in mourning weep near funerary stele. Below are vignettes showing Rachel's Tomb and the gravesite of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. Another example is held at the Musée d'art et d'histoire du Judaïsme (Inv. coll 94.27.001)
