No. 851 - Culp's Hill from e. Cemetery Hill. Oversize mezzo-platino photograph. Gettysburg, Pennsylvania: William H. Tipton, ca 1880s. 16 x 9 7/8 in., on 21 3/4 x 15 3/4 in. cardstock mount. Titled with the photographer's signature in negative. Photographer's imprint embossed to mount verso. Informational sheet affixed to verso.

Beautiful oversized outdoor view of Culp's Hill from the vantage point of East Cemetery Hill. A cannon is positioned facing east, not far from a small monument. Culp's Hill, the "fish-hook" of the Union's line, dominates the scene, featuring a wooded landscape and a monument visible on the approaching road.
