A stirring glimpse of a Floridian landscape. Featuring a great egret in the foreground with palm trees dispersed among white houses that match idyllic white, sandy beaches can be seen fixed near a body of water.
A Florida native, Johns "thrives to capture in painting the familiar culture, heritage and natural beauty of Florida," according to his website. He received his M.F.A. from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2014 and has since traveled the world to create and teach others. Johns's style features contemporary imagery in a traditional look, combining past and present to capture a memory.
