.45 ACP. 5" barrel. SN: 542826. Green Cerakote finish to frame and slide with wraparound black rubber HOGUE grips, and checkered flat synthetic mainspring housing. Short recoil operated single action autoloading custom pistol fed by detachable magazines. Serial number indicates the frame was originally made in 1918, with the pistol's extensive rebuilding rendering it an FFL rather than C&R qualified firearm per ATF regulations. Left slide is marked PATENTED APR. 20. 1897/SEPT. 9. 1902. DEC. 19. 1905. FEB. 14. 1911. followed by two line address reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. with the circled {Rampant Colt} struck into the left slide behind cocking serrations. Right slide is struck MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY. Frame is marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY on right side with a faint {Eaglehead/S18} inspection mark to the left. Further martial markings obliterated by refinish. Item mounts a black refinished HS marked High Standard barrel, Pachmayr extended grip safety, skeletonized Commander hammer, three hole adjustable trigger, and refinished bushing. No iron sights mounted. Lacks magazine. {FFL}

Fair. Bore is dirty with firing residues that may clean to Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows some light scratches and edgewear with some pinpoint pitting on the slide edges filled in with refinish. Grip has few faint scratches. Requires iron sights to be mounted. Frame and slide with typical wiggle for old mil-spec 1911 pattern pistols. Mechanically functional when cycled by hand.
