Original classic Belle Époque French advertising poster designed by Jules Chéret, widely regarded as the "Father of the Modern Poster." A vivacious red-headed Parisian woman, wearing a fashionable leg-of-mutton-sleeved frock vividly patterned in mustard yellow stripes, sassily casts her gaze toward the artist. 

The iconic design was included as plate No. 1 of Chéret's series "Les Maitres de L'Affiche" [Masters of the Posters], a series of 256 posters reproducing many of his works and the works of 97 other artists. Perennially popular, the design is often reprinted; however, original printings remain rare.
