Silver electroplated nickel tipped pattern fork and spoon. Waterbury, Connecticut: Rogers & Bro., ca. 1879.

The fork and spoon are each inscribed to the bottom of their handle: "Lieut. C. Whitney." They are also each marked "R & B *" to the bottom of the stem for Rogers & Bro., a precursor to the International Silver Co., and the fork is further marked with a "2".

The identity of Lieutenant C. Whitney is unknown. Though undated, the handle pattern suggests these pieces are post-1879.
