Nice lot of three (3) soldier images. This lot includes:
1. Ninth plate tintype. Full leatherette case.
A portrait of an innocent-looking young soldier with a large Colt revolver displayed across his chest. The gun looks huge when held by the small soldier, who wears a light-colored shell jacket with tabbed shoulders. As if the sidearm is not impressive enough for the portrait's subject, he also appears to have put quite an effort into getting his hair right for this shoot.
3. Sixth plate tintype. Full thermoplastic case with beehive design.
Portrait of a Union soldier, photographed from the waist up. His neat shell jacket features shoulder tabs and appears to be lined with muffin-style buttons. What looks like the corner of a handkerchief pokes out of a slash pocket on his chest. This is a simple but classic portrait of a Civil War soldier, securely housed in a very nice thermoplastic case with a desirable "beehive" design.
3. Sixth plate tintype. Full thermoplastic case.
A tintype portrait of a Union soldier seated at a photographer's table. He gazes just outside of the frame with his arm resting next to what appears to be a ledger or other small book. Excellent condition.
