A Soviet Cold War-era propaganda poster critical of intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear proliferation. A hand grasps a missile that opens its top, revealing fanged teeth. Two space capsules float in the distant space. A poem is printed in the lower margin, reading (in translation): "We saved the world, having gone through torment, / We discovered space in the name of science. / It is great, boundless, but there is no place in it / For the evil cargo of military missiles!"

The anti-nuclear movement in Russia began to form in the 1980s and became widespread in response to the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
