A fine, Art Deco sculpture clock featuring a panting Alsatian reclining beside a marble pillar that supports the clock's movement. The dog, sculpted by famed animalier Louis-Albert Carvin, is part of a routinely paired set of two, the other with its head turned and front paws slightly raised as though resting on a step. Comparable clocks with identical pillars have been observed alongside either dog.
