Outdoor group albumen. [Childress, Texas, ca. 1920s]. Approx. 5 x 7 in., mounted to approx. 9 x 8 in.
A photograph of Confederate veterans taken in Childress, Texas. According to the University of North Texas's libraries, this photo was likely taken in the 1920s in front of the Childress Courthouse and features two IDed men in the front row, one named James Webb and another named Lynn Harvey Arnn, who is allegedly wearing a white shirt and black bowtie. Since James Webb is a more common name and there is nothing else to identify him by, he remains unknown. There is a record of a Leonard Harvey Arnn who died in Childress in 1962, but he was born after the Civil War and his father does not appear to have served, eliminating the idea of the former perhaps being a descendant.
