A fine collection of military implements and accouterments. Grouped together in a modern case are the following Civil War relics:
1. Stamped brass "Hardee hat eagle" insignia, approx. 1 7/8 x 2 3/4 in., used to pin the side of a Hardee hat to denote a wearer's branch of service.
2. Stamped brass "hunting horn" infantryman's insignia, approx. 3 1/2 x 1 7/8 in., to be worn on the crown of a forage cap, kepi, or slouch hat.
3. Stamped brass "crossed sabers" cavalryman's insignia, approx. 3 1/4 x 1 7/8 in., to be worn on the crown of a forage cap, kepi, or slouch hat.
4. Stamped brass "crossed cannons" artilleryman's insignia, approx. 3 1/4 x 1 3/4 in., to be worn on the crown of a forage cap, kepi, or slouch hat.
5. Stamped brass "hunting horn" infantryman's insignia, approx. 2 1/8 x 1 1/4 in., to be worn on the crown or front of a forage cap, kepi, or slouch hat.
6. Stamped brass "wreath" insignia, approx. 2 1/2 x 1 1/2, to be worn on the crown or front of a forage cap, kepi, or slouch hat.
7. "US" oval cartridge box plate.

8. Civil War-era eagle breastplate. Retains both loops to verso.
9. Brass, cork, and wool Wilmot's patent .58 caliber tompion. Stamped to top: "Patented Nov 24 1863". Brass with dark patina, wool covering intact.
10. M1855 .58 caliber musket wiper.
11. M1855 tumbler and band spring punch. Tool exhibits light rust and is immobile.
12. M1863 combination tool. Illegible mark to the swinging arm. Tool exhibits a dark patina and is immobile.
13. Civil War-era collapsable drinking cup + tin case.
14. Postwar 1st Lieutenant Adjutant General Shoulder Board. Chicago, Illinois: E. A. Armstrong, ca. late 19th - early 20th century. Marked to reverse "[The] Armstrong Uniforms / Trade Mark Registered / Chicago / 1," with a depiction of an armored hand gripping a sword.
15. Post-war Taylor fuze igniter, for use with the Taylor time fuze.
16. Approx. 1 in. diameter grapeshot.
17. Japanned tin container with partial green paper label reading "50 / 76" (manuscript) "Percussion" (printed). A detached label segment reads: "Bes". Identified as a Jacob's tube tin.
