Confederate fighting knife. N.p., ca. mid-19th century. Approx. 23 in., blade approx. 16 1/2 in.

A massive Confederate blacksmith fighting knife. The blade's dark patina also exhibits some pitting and rust, as well as a few nicks into its edge. The guard is also rusting and is slightly loose; however, it remains in place. This fighting knife is completed with an offset walnut grip.
