A group of items from a 126th New York Infantry veteran and their first major engagement at the Battle of Harpers Ferry, September 1862. Items include:

1. Manuscript casualty list from the 1862 Defense of Harper's Ferry. Baltimore, Maryland, 13 September 1862. 2 pages, folio, on U.S. Army General Hospital letterhead.

A manuscript record of the casualties suffered by the 126th New York in the Defense of Harper's Ferry in September 1862. There are 58 names listed, 16 killed and 42 wounded.

2. New York State Militia "SNY" waist belt plate.

3. New York Militia staff 2-piece button. Albert NY 30.

4. 126th New York reunion ribbon with celluloid "Gen. Hancock" pendant.
