A trio of Confederate coat buttons, including:

1. Confederate Army officer button. Two-piece with border. Original shank to reverse. Eagle device, facing left, encircled by 13 stars on a plain field. Albert CS 8.

2. South Carolina State seal button. Two-piece with border. Original shank to reverse. State seal with letters "S" to one side and "C" to the other on a lined plane. Seal with a 4-fruited palmetto tree, "Opibusque" misspelled as "Opirusque" to motto. Reverse marked "Van Wart • Son & Co *". Albert SC 16.

3. Civil War period Louisiana State seal button. Two-piece staff. Original shank to reverse. State seal with left-facing pelican under "Louisiana" on a lined plane. Reverse marked "Extra / Quality". Device similar to Albert LA 14.
