A premium assembly of 25 Civil War-era albumen CDVs featuring a high concentration of identified officers, Gettysburg-associated combatants and elite studio marks. This lot is distinguished by the inclusion of multiple Mathew Brady imprints and rare autographed examples, offering a diverse look at the Union leadership and rank-and-file.

1. Gen. August V. Kautz: A fine seated study from the Fredricks studio. Kautz was a prominent cavalry commander and author of influential military manuals.
2. Alexander C.M. Pennington: A notable artillery and cavalry officer with an extensive research tag documenting his service from West Point through the Spanish-American War, including his command of the 3rd New Jersey Cavalry.
3. Capt. Louis J. Lambert: A rare autographed Brady portrait with a poignant inscription to his mother: "For my dearest Mother, Your affct Son."
4. Maj. J.Z. Turtle Jr., 12th New York: Representing the early-war volunteers, with a backmark from the Monitor Gallery at Camp Hamilton, Virginia.
