Colt Army revolver. New York, 1862.

Serial no. 37865 [barrel, frame, cylinder triggerguard and butt] .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: "ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA." Left side of frame stamped: "COLT'S / PATENT." Brass trigger guard. One-piece walnut grip. This particular example was manufactured in 1862.
