The 121st Pennsylvania was organized in Philadelphia in August and September 1861 before moving south to fight at several major battles, including Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg, where they fought at Seminary Ridge and Cemetery Ridge. Their service remained hard-fought as they joined the Overland Campaign, the Siege of Petersburg, and the Appomattox Campaign.
