.577-450. 21.25" barrel secured by two rounded, clamping barrel bands. NSN. Blued finish, iron furniture, smooth walnut stock and forend. Single shot dropping block rifle with military ladder rear sight, ramped front sight with protective ears, saber bayonet lug on the upper barrel band, sling swivels and cleaning rod. Receiver markings mostly obscured, barrel with British military proof and inspection marks. Obverse butt with original "1879" dated storekeeper's mark, a 1st class RSAF Enfield roundel, an "1895" dated stock disc, and sold out of service opposed broad arrow marks. A solid example of one of the less common Martini-Henry model variants that had a nominally two decade service life around the British Empire. {ANTIQUE}

Good. Bore good, moderately oxidized with scattered light pitting and strong rifling. Barrel with most of an old arsenal refurbished blue with strong and clear markings. Receiver and furniture moderately oxidized with some moderate pinpricking and light pitting, no finish on the frame, lever or furniture and some some flashes of light surface rust. Markings on receiver not legible. Mechanical functional action. Wood with moderate wear, showing numerous bumps, dings and mars but mostly legible markings.
