The barrel is struck with the dealer address marking THOS BLAND & SONS. 106 STRAND. LONDON, indicating it was retailed by the firm of Thomas Bland & Sons, makers and retailers of high-end British arms. Good. Bore is Frosty with strong rifling throughout, a brown patina, and some light pitting. Metal with some flaked loss to the nickel, particularly at the edges with brown patina forming in spots at muzzle, forcing cone, and on frame. Item shows handling wear, dents, and scratches. Grips with further dents and scuffs. Automatic ejector fails to retract when the action is opened. Needs mechanical attention. Action is heavy and slow which may be the result of old grease in the action, or due to some excessive wear to the cylinder ratchet. Action is unreliable, sometimes functioning as it should and sometime not.
