.22RF. 20.125" octagonal barrel. SN: 2069. Blued barrel, color casehardened hammer, nickel plated frame and detachable skeletonized metal stock which is numbered 2027, varnished smooth two-piece rosewood grips. Single shot twisting breech, single action pocket rifle with spur trigger, external half cock button, leaf rear sight and globe front sight. Standard two-line Frank Wesson address and patent marking on left of frame. Matching serial number "2069" on frame, under barrel and inside both grips. Stock is mismatched by 42 numbers. Production estimates are that about 5,000 of these guns were produced in three basic production versions between 1870 and 1893. This example appears to be a 2nd production variant with the push button external half cock and only two, not three screws in the left side of the frame. {ANTIQUE}

About Very Good. Bore good, partly bright with oxidation and some pitting. Metal with much of the thinning and fading blue on the barrel and most of the of the nickel on the frame and stock. Some areas of flaked loss are present on the frame and stock and there are some freckled ares of surface oxidation and light surface rust here and there on the gun. Action is mechanically functional. Grip with some wear and showing moderate finish loss with some dings and marks.
